1. Registration:
Age is calculated from the 1st of October. New athletes are required to show proof of age, any child may register once turning 5, but they must do 2 years of under 6. Athletes must register by the second week of competition. New athletes are allowed a trial week prior to registration. Unregistered athletes will not be permitted to compete after their trial day.

2. Fees:
Fees are $75 for the first child, $65 for the second child and $50 for each other child in the same family.
Fees include the following:
Registration with VLAA.
Registration with Gippsland Little Athletics.
Insurance (only registered athletes are covered by insurance).
Saturday and Wednesday (twilight) competition.
Place tickets, Certificates, Awards, Medals and Trophies.
One detailed Handbook of information per family.
Fundraising Levy per family included.

3. Saturday Morning:
We aim for warm ups at 8.45am , announcements and presentations at 9.00am, followed by the first event. Each event is scheduled for approximately ½ an hour. U9-U17 athletes do 5 events. We aim to finish by noon.

4. Volunteers:
All families to volunteer in running the saturday programs.

5. Age Groups:
Each age group is under the control of a Team Manager for the day. They should ensure safe behaviour and pass on reports of any accidents. Athletes without a parent or nominated carer present at the track will not be allowed to compete.

6. Parents Leaving:
If a parent must leave the Centre for a short time during the morning, they must notify the age group team manager in writing clearly stating who the child/children’s guardian is for that period of time.

7. Smoking:
All Little Athletics Centre are smoke free.

8. Footwear:
Footwear must be worn at all times.

9. Spikes:
Spikes may be worn by U12-U14 competitors in laned events up to 400m and all hurdle events. They must be put on immediately before the start of each event, and removed immediately after the finish of the event. U15-U17, may wear spikes for 800m and 1500m events as well as the laned events.

10. Identification Tags:
Age group identification tags must be worn on tops for all Centre Meetings. ID tags are supplied in the show bags. Athletes without ID will not be allowed to compete.

11. Championships:
Competitors representing the Centre at Championships should wear correct uniform - Warragul Centre top and bottle green shorts and white socks.

12. Starting Blocks:
The U13-U17 age group may use starting blocks. U12 and downwards must use crouch start for the sprint events.

13. Crossing The Track:
Do not cross the track in the front straight. Crossing is only permitted at the ends of the track, and only after checking that there are no events in progress.
